On Mar 11, 2000 the #hamradio IRC channel was registered on the
FreeNode IRC network to discuss amateur radio and opensource
software. A list of IRC servers is available on

The Linux Operating System is perhaps the only operating system in
the world that can boast native and standard support for the AX.25 packet
radio protocol utilised by Amateur Radio Operators worldwide.

aims to describe how to install and configure this support.
